Module Ten: Photomontage
This Module will force you to develop your skills by using the selection tools and various settings in Photoshop.
PhotoMontage by Hanna L.

A Photomontage is a "photographic image" that is created by cutting and joining portions of a number of other images.

Use feathering, quick mask and various other PhotoShop tools to create an image that fits together to create a composite (joined) image. Select portions of at least 3 different photographs that you have taken.

You will be uploading all images used!

A Montage that demonstrates the use of faded (feather applied) edges and layer options

Another method to creating a Photomonatge is to use layer opacity options, quick mask mode with the gradient, and feathering to create a subtle transition look (fades and blending images).

You will be uploading all images used!

Module Ten Assignment:

1. Using selected aspects of various photographs YOU HAVE TAKEN create a montage.
2. Save it as "Photomontage" upload to FlickR along with the original images. (40 points)
3. How many images are uploaded to FlickR will depend on how many original image files you used portions of to create your Photomontage!

Note* The visual difference is that one method should look 'cut and paste'; with your selections made very close to the edge then scaled and placed in a background along with other imagery. The other method takes advantage of altered opacity, soft edges and layering. Demonstrating a layered soft transition look. *
